I was absolutely floored when I clicked on the "In Memory" section of the website today and saw David's obituary. I have known David since the first grade, he lived one street up from me, we were in the cub scouts together and I passed the Charleston Daily Mail to his parents. I was really looking forward to seeing him at the 50th, but I guess that visit will be delayed until we meet once again on the other side. My sincere condolences to his family. May he rest in peace.
How sad. We were good friends. We attended one of the school dances together. While I lived in Michigan David and I conversed but then lost touch. He was a good man.
David was such a nice person, one who seemed to enjoy life. He will be missed at the reunion, but he will not be forgotten. I enjoyed chatting with him of FB.
I'm saddened to learn of Dave's passing. When we were in the Continentals, he was one heck of a saxophone player--his skill and ad-libbing ability were wonderful.
Since Robert McCoy also is deceased, it seems to leave Larry Winter and me as the only survivirs from our rock-and-roll band.
